Connect with the essence of the Coffee Region on horseback through the mountainous landscapes of Salento, traversing natural trails to reach a traditional coffee farm where you’ll experience the world of Colombian coffee firsthand.
We begin in Salento and venture onto horseback along rural trails surrounded by mountains, native vegetation, and crops typical of the region. We’ll ride at a leisurely pace, ideal for beginners, enjoying the fresh air, crystal-clear rivers, and panoramic views of the Quindío landscape.
During the journey, we’ll make brief stops at scenic overlooks before arriving at a family-run coffee farm. There, we’ll begin a comprehensive tour of the coffee process, from planting and harvesting to selection and roasting. You’ll learn how the bean is transformed into a world-class cup of coffee. We conclude with a guided tasting of specialty coffees, where you can identify aromas, flavors, and textures, accompanied by spectacular views and a pleasant conversation with the farm’s hosts.
