Located in the heart of the coffee region and the majestic central mountain range of the Colombian Andes, Salento is one of Colombia’s most captivating destinations. Here, you can not only delight in breathtaking landscapes but also experience the coffee tradition that has put the country on the world map, recognized as a Coffee Cultural Landscape by UNESCO.
On this tour, you will have the opportunity to connect with nature as you explore the mountains, cloud forest, and traditional architecture. You will also immerse yourself in the coffee transformation process, from planting to obtaining an exquisite cup of 100% Colombian coffee.
DESCRIPTION: We begin the tour with a walk to the Bosque de Palmas farm, the ideal place to admire the wax palm and enjoy the best viewpoints of the Cocora Valley. Along the trail through the cloud forest, we’ll pass two viewpoints, and if we’re lucky, we might spot the majestic Andean Condor, hummingbirds, trogons, and a wide variety of other species that inhabit the Colombian high Andean forest. You’ll have time to capture unforgettable moments and enjoy the tranquility of the place. Afterward, we’ll return to Salento and stroll along the main street, where you can admire the town’s traditional architecture. We’ll have an hour for lunch to recharge before heading to a coffee farm, where you’ll learn all about coffee cultivation, from planting to preparing a delicious cup. At the end of the tour, you’ll return to Salento full of memories and the satisfaction of having experienced an authentic coffee culture.
